PRIVATE HIKING - PATH OF THE GODS FROM POSITANO
Astonishing views and unique photo opportunities make the Path of Gods the most popular hike of the Amalfi and Sorrento Peninsula and one of the most beautiful paths in the world.
The trailhead is Bomerano - a hamlet of Agerola, at about 630 mt (about 1800 ft) on the sea level – and ends in Positano hamlet of Nocelle, at about 440 mt (about 1200 ft) on the sea level.
At the starting point of a dirt track you will pass under the so-called "Grotta del Biscotto", a cave with a peculiar geological conformation and century-old little houses built in the rocks. Then you will proceed following the coastal path and walking almost suspended between sky and sea, on a mule track which is parallel to the Amalfitana car road and brings you on top of Praiano first, and Positano later. All the time you will be enjoying the fantastic scenario of the Sorrento peninsula and the island of Capri.
Once you finish the path in Nocelle, you may have your private driver, driving you to your hotel, or you can opt for continuing to walk along a road and then a long flight of steps up to the center of Positano (average walking time: another hour and a half for a total walking time of about 4 hours and a half, AND length about 6 miles, or 12 km)
