Originally this was the house of the founder, Lucio in fact. He was the first to have the intuition to transform some of the ancient caves of Matera, now abandoned and in disuse, into a beautiful Albergo Diffuso. The unique and original architecture unmistakably characterizes these places that seem to be wrapped in a charm of the past. The environment is familiar and the atmosphere evokes the life that was once spent in the Sassi. The interiors are embellished with plays of light that give volume to the ancient niches and stone arches. Among these rocks, whose history is intertwined with that of the world, the comforts are the result of modernity while the furnishings of the splendid rooms and common rooms alternate original period details with design pieces
